Derthutus Arajensys and Primula Alpicola had pups today on Dec 5th, a day early. They are Kejidega Rantos, pure black male; Snow Pine, pure white female; and Lilika Mint, grey-white female. Kejidega Rantos is the oldest, then Snow Pine, and Lilika Mint is the youngest. The parents are very happy and proud of their pups.

Derthutus Arajensys sits next to his family: his sleeping mate and his three cubs. Two of the cubs are sleeping peacefully. Lilika Mint, the youngest, struggles blindly to get over her littermates and get a last sip of her mother's warm milk. Her kind and helpful father uses his snout to gently push her around her sleeping siblings to an open teat. Watching over his family, he smiles and nods. He is proud of his day old pups, who will grow up to help the Pack. He is also proud of him and his mate, day old parents, who will learn as much from their pups as their pups will learnd from them.

The cubs are older now, and have started taking interest in their surroundings now that their eyes are open and their ears have perked up. Their parents take them to meet other pups and wolves and come across Soaring Eagle and Fading Mist and their pups. Suprised to see them play fighting like cubs, they try not to show it. 'Hi, my leaders. Let me introduce you to the newest additions to my family: our pups. This is Kegidega Rantos, the oldest and the black male; Snow Pine, the middle pup and the white shepup; and Lilika mint, the youngest and the female riding on her father's back. Derthutus Arajensys, get her down! She could fall, and you of all wolves should know how fragile she is!' Derthutus Arajensys guiltily takes his youngest daughter by the ruff and gently sets her down on the ground, while her mother licks her to assure herself her baby is okay. Lilika Mint, who is much of a daddy's little pup, runs back to him and plays with his tail. Primula Alpicola sighs. Being a mother is so hard at times! But looking at her other cubs, who were interacting with Soaring Eagle and Fading Mist's pups joyfully and playfully. Then again, she thought as she filled with joy and pride, the job does have its perks.

Soaring Eagle walks up to Primula Acapola. "Greetings," she says. "How are you?"

'Greetings, Alpha. I am doing well. And how are you holding up yourself?'

Now Primula Alpicola and Derthutus Arajensys's cubs are ready to be taught how to hunt. The family, minus Derthutus who is injured, goes to a nearby meadow and practices chasing down and catching small bugs and birds. After a successful day of learning, they return to the cub dens with Rolianthus Eromata while their mother visits in with their father to check up on him. Later, seeing his health improving, Primula Alpicola returns to her young and they eat and go to bed for the night.

Cubs can't learn to hunt until they're 6 months old. They can EAT prey at 3 months.

Derthutus Arajensys finally gets better after the bear attack, and comes home to see his pups a lot more grown up than they were when he left. He is overjoyed to see his family and friends now, after being cooped up in the healer's den while he healed. He has come back just in time to watch his pups begin to journey outside the dens and explore the quartz camp, and looks forward to the time when he will get to teach them how to hunt.

(Are the cubs old enough to leave the den now?)

Yes, the cubs are old enough to leave the den, but they must find dens in camp. Pack wolves always live in their camp.

Fading Mist sits next to Soaring Eagle. "Eagle," she begins, "I think that our cubs are ready to be made regulars, and that Primula Alpicola and Derthutus Arajensys's cubs are old enough to become almosts. They're already leaving the Cub Den."
